Triton Central softball hits past Southwestern

The Triton Central softball team improved to 3-0 with a 13-2, five-inning win over Southwestern on Wednesday.

The Tigers scored four times in the first frame and six times in the fifth to remain undefeated this season.

Sydney Bass led Triton Central with a 4-for-4 effort at the plate. She added an RBI and had a double. Katie Cook and Addison Meier collected three hits each.

Freshman Liz Mukka earned the win on the mound for TC. She finished with six strikeouts and one walk. Mukka also finished with two hits and three RBIs offensively to help her own cause.

The Spartans (2-1) scored once in the first inning and once in the fifth. No individual statistics were available for Southwestern.
