Norman "Mousie" Rouse

Norman "Mousie" Rouse, 84, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at Heritage House.

Born Aug. 26, 1933, in Fairland, he was the son of Walter F. Rouse and Carolyn E. (Brown) Rouse. He married Faye (Eads) Rouse on June 11, 1955, and she survives.

Other survivors include son, Steven E. Rouse; brother-in-law, Glenn Eads, of Russell Springs, Kentucky; and sisters-in-law, Mildred Lawson, of Russell Springs, Ilene Foley, of Indianapolis, and Charlene Foley, of Louisville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law, Russell Eads and David Eads.

Mr. Rouse had lived in this area his entire lifetime. He had been employed as a foreman at KCL Corp. for 35 years, and later as a group leader at Ryobi Die Casting for 11 years, retiring in 1998.

He graduated from Waldron High School in 1951 and was a member of Waldron Baptist Church and the Eagles Lodge of Shelbyville.

Norman enjoyed bowling, watching IU and Purdue basketball, and Indianapolis Colts football on TV.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with visitation there from noon until the time of the service. Pastor Bill Horner will officiate.

Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.

Memorial contributions can be made to American Kidney Fund, in care of the funeral home.
